School is keeping me pretty busy with thesis work, and I've been even busier lately in preparation for Katsucon. I don't get to go to conventions very often, but they're SO much fun, especially when you've got a group of friends to cosplay.

Katsucon runs from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday. I'll likely be taking a lot of pictures. I might post some of the more interesting ones here. *skips away*

I love to doodle. A lot. Sometimes I look at a finished piece and find myself a little disappointed simply because, no matter how professional it looks, it always seems to lose that loose, sketchy quality I love so much. So I satiate myself with a lot of sketching. Tegaki E is super fun for that when I'm bored and just happen to have my tablet out.

I have something of a difficult time with architecture and scenery, but I love experimenting with color.

This is my blog on Tegaki E if you'd like to check it out. :)

This past semester I participated in a t-shirt contest between the senior Illustrators at Moore. There are about twenty-three of us, and my design was chosen by a vote among the entire Illustration department as this year's winning t-shirt design!

The parameters of the project dictated only that the design had to be two-color and contain the word "illustration", as well as a reference to the college (preferably the website). My final design is up in the
illustration section of my website, but it can also be viewed on my DeviantArt. The t-shirts came in this past Thursday, so I decided to snap a few photos. I think they came out pretty nice.

On the hanger...

... and on my brother!

Welcome to Panda Illustration! I'm Amanda Williams and I'll be your host. I'm a new illustrator based out of Philadelphia and I'm just about to begin my final semester at Moore College of Art and Design.

This is where I'll be hopefully posting new sketches and works-in-progress as they come up. There will be a lot of the same things you'll see over on my DeviantArt account, but likely with more of a description about the work on my part. Materials, process, random thoughts, ect. Sometimes I have quite a bit to say about things and I don't even realize it, so you've been warned.
