I don't get to go to conventions very often, but they're <span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">SO </span></span></span><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></span>much fun, especially when you've got a group of friends to cosplay.<br /><br />Katsucon runs from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday. I'll likely be taking a lot of pictures. I might post some of the more interesting ones here. *skips away*Amanda Williamshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10804735813097793602noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4114897977937740217.post-33957799182310158452009-01-02T16:23:00.000-08:002009-01-02T16:43:11.281-08:00I love to doodle. A lot. Sometimes I look at a finished piece and find myself a little disappointed simply because, no matter how professional it looks, it always seems to lose that loose, sketchy quality I love so much. So I satiate myself with a lot of sketching. <a href="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/index.php">Tegaki E</a> is super fun for that when I'm bored and just happen to have my tablet out.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/dblog.php?u=814&e=418387" title="obalacrycinth on Tegaki E"><img src="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/images/200901/01/22/thumb/123086609060-814.png_th.jpg" /></a><br />I have something of a difficult time with architecture and scenery, but I love experimenting with color.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/dblog.php?u=814&e=136863" title="obalacrycinth on Tegaki E"><img src="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/images/200805/22/00/thumb/121143173339-814.png_th.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/dblog.php?u=814&e=125197" title="obalacrycinth on Tegaki E"><img src="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/images/200805/13/05/thumb/121067238180-814.png_th.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/about.php?u=814">This</a> is my blog on Tegaki E if you'd like to check it out. :)Amanda Williamshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10804735813097793602noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4114897977937740217.post-42522290184145323822008-12-21T19:49:00.000-08:002008-12-21T20:21:13.299-08:00<span style="font-family:arial;">This past semester I participated in a t-shirt contest between the senior Illustrators at Moore. There are about twenty-three of us, and my design was chosen by a vote among the entire Illustration department as this year's winning t-shirt design!</span> <span style="font-family:arial;"><br /><br />The parameters of the project dictated only that the design had to be two-color and contain the word "illustration", as well as a reference to the college (preferably the website). My final design is up in the </span><a style="font-family: arial;" href="http://pandaillustration.com/illustration.html">illustration section</a><span style="font-family:arial;"> of my website, but it can also be viewed on my </span><a style="font-family: arial;" href="http://obalacrycinth.deviantart.com/art/Illustration-T-Shirt-Final-97778910">DeviantArt</a><span style="font-family:arial;">.</span> <span style="font-family:arial;">The t-shirts came in this past Thursday, so I decided to snap a few photos. I think they came out pretty nice.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-family: arial;">On the hanger...</span><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitY4NXtbdkD5q9B5mQh9Sw5xhoLmNmTDCh0QGttbgWzWoPcYwEyq-OVCZfH4h8vJlGT6SYlzXet-VYvL2wLAgYRd456nVG4fDyhxxag9io2AMbueLnLpjv4_UeCzUeSL_-gKjov_n3PT2z/s1600-h/tshirt.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitY4NXtbdkD5q9B5mQh9Sw5xhoLmNmTDCh0QGttbgWzWoPcYwEyq-OVCZfH4h8vJlGT6SYlzXet-VYvL2wLAgYRd456nVG4fDyhxxag9io2AMbueLnLpjv4_UeCzUeSL_-gKjov_n3PT2z/s320/tshirt.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282463421988848274" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">... and on my brother!</span><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6lK81ZBNEOE169XQfREgSw_6VwvNas5JIbdOjrFANcYniNlyYYAXFqU_dAG5hsC8T0a97xmUd7ntcgQ1ge_KLoLpf0oZkLFlY05lYTLqUz_vovuIEpyuwHgM-G5AB7ck6iEFYMu7wzqp2/s1600-h/tshirt_stephen.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6lK81ZBNEOE169XQfREgSw_6VwvNas5JIbdOjrFANcYniNlyYYAXFqU_dAG5hsC8T0a97xmUd7ntcgQ1ge_KLoLpf0oZkLFlY05lYTLqUz_vovuIEpyuwHgM-G5AB7ck6iEFYMu7wzqp2/s320/tshirt_stephen.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282463422609509666" border="0" /></a>Amanda Williamshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10804735813097793602noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4114897977937740217.post-16450901494043646432008-12-19T05:52:00.000-08:002008-12-19T06:01:18.684-08:00<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">Welcome to Panda Illustration! I'm Amanda Williams and I'll be your host. I'm a new illustrator based out of Philadelphia and I'm just about to begin my final semester at Moore College of Art and Design.</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">This is where I'll be hopefully posting new sketches and works-in-progress as they come up. There will be a lot of the same things you'll see over on my <a href="http://obalacrycinth.deviantart.com/">DeviantArt</a> account, but likely with more of a description about the work on my part. Materials, process, random thoughts, ect. Sometimes I have quite a bit to say about things and I don't even realize it, so you've been warned.</span></div>Amanda Williamshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10804735813097793602noreply@blogger.com0
